July 2014 Magazine Freebies August Issues – Part 1 Skincare

Hello Everyone!

I know it’s Monday but I felt instead of Monday Munchies I should get these mag freebies out there asap so you have more time to look out for something you want in the shops =)

So, this month is another bumper crop of mag freebies, hence the separation into 2 posts! If you’ve missed it, I also did a separate post for the by-far most popular mag freebie for this month, which is Glamour magazine’s Clinique freebies.

This post is all about the skincare mag freebies this month, so if skincare isn’t your thing you can skip this post and wait for the next one, which will have make-up and miscellaneous things (like a free razor and free perfume). Otherwise, if skincare is your thing, stick around for freebies ranging from hand-cream to cleanser, featuring brands like Neal’s Yard, Balance Me and Rodial!

As always, just flagging up that these are the August issues of magazines and hence out in July (I will never, ever understand this). These will be out for at least another three weeks and when I last checked everything’s was in good stock but if you see something you really like pop into the shops for one asap just in case.

June 2014 Magazine Freebies Part 2 – The Nail Edition!

Hi All!

Did you enjoy yesterday’s bumper crop of magazine freebies? 😉 There’s really is a lot going on this month, isn’t there? In fact, apparently I missed out that Tatler is also giving away sunglasses, they’re designer apparently and you can choose from 3 different styles available. Hmm, am not very drawn by free sunnies in general, beauty definitely floats my boat far more.

Anyway, today’s all about the amazing nail freebies that you can find in this month’s magazines (July 2014 editions), I was severely tempted multiple times!

June 2014 Magazine Freebies Part 1 – Free Eyeko Eyeliner!

Hi All!

Another month, another installation of mag freebies! I must say, other than for the freebies, I would never buy a magazine, why bother when I can get loads of information (usually much more in-depth and possibly more truthful as well) online on blogs and vlogs? But one thing that magazines do do better than any blog could ever do is… amazing freebies. Haha. The day that bloggers somehow manage to offer that as well (I guess some blogs do great reader giveaways and samples?) is the day magazines should quake in fear… does anyone else just take the freebie, flip through the mag for samples and then toss the rest in the bin? Also, another thing I find it hard to understand… why magazines always release their issues a month early… so these freebies are all for ‘July’ issues but obviously it’s still June now. Erm… so should I say this blog post is for 2015?

But back to the subject at hand… this month is a veritable bumper crop of freebies! Half of them are nail-related so nail polish lovers rejoice! I’ve split it into two parts, this part is all the non-nail freebies and there’s a free REN hot cloth cleanser set, free sunglasses, 25% off St Tropez voucher and, my absolute favourite, free Eyeko eyeliner!!!

Sales Boosts – Boots January Sale + Urban Outfitters Extra 20% Code

Hey Everyone,

First up, a shout-out to the lovely India from Touch Screens and Beauty Queens who recently nominated me for the Leibster Award, thank youuuu! =D

Right, whew, just as it seems that everyone has done their sales shopping, retailers wise up and begin to boost their sales!!!

In other words, the sales aren’t over yet and there’s still yet more great deals to be had, shocking! Is it just me or does it seem sometimes that sales just last all year round? This is why I always advise having a list in mind before shopping any sale, if you’re just in it for bargains then there’s almost always a bargain to be had and you’ll end up buying literally everything.

The most exciting sales news I think has to be the huge Boots sale that has just kicked off yesterday (15th Jan) with some items now up to 70% off.

1/2 price sale

I must say, with this Boots wins the award for most straight-forward sales banner on a retailer’s website…

If you had your eye on any of the gift sets that were up for grabs for Christmas at all, please check out this sale because almost all of those are now on close to 70% discount.

Remember that Soap and Glory Girl-O-Whirl gift set that was one of the Star Gifts earlier on? Well I just spotted it in the sale now too and vastly reduced, it’s now at £12.50! Be quick though, some of the other items I’d spotted earlier (like the Ted Baker Vanity Case which I now can’t find on Boots online).

Macy’s Boxing Day Fashion Haul

Hello My Darlings!

Well, this is a little late seeing as it’s already well into January.

You know, as I grow older time doesn’t seem to hold the same density that it used to in the past… hours used to be so long and years felt like ages but now days just tick by like water and I’m always spinning round to find it’s a later date on the calendar than I’d have expected to see! Anyone else feel the same?

With that, here’s my belated Boxing Day Sales haul from when I went shopping in Macy’s in San Francisco, there were some labels/brands that really stood out for me because the outfits were just perfectly flattering for my shape (once you find that perfect cut, ladies, don’t let it go!!) and I’m gutted now that I’m back in London to find out (after some intense googling) that they were Macy’s Juniors lines and I won’t be able to get easy access to them here! Ah sigh… well I’m glad I picked them up when I did and the offers were amazing I have to say.

Okay, first of all… are these two gorgeous dresses from Ked’s!

Ked's Skater Dresses

Just 2 dresses, chillin’ out on the couch…

The fit is amazing and the stripes are arranged in such a way as to emphasize the waist and downplay the hips (see how they swoop downwards at the skirt?) but a picture tells a thousand words so below is a lovely picture I found online of the dress being modelled and you’ll see what I mean 😉 It’s so flattering:

These were already on discount but Ked’s was on a further 20% that day so I managed to get them for around $18 each, that’s like less than £15??
