If you’ve been around this blog since the beginning you know I have a thing for Boots hauls but I only reserve my shopping for when there’s a great points event on. There’s a ton of old posts on this blog about Boots Points Events and the best (ie most parsimonious) way to shop them, but I think my all-time favourite post is this one where I really break it down at the bottom how to decide if the event is really worth your money or not!
So the low down on today’s event is that in selected stores (find out which stores here) there’s a special event where every £50 you spend nabs you £10 of points, after 3pm there’ll also be fun in-store activities and drinks so if you’ve the time, make a day of it! If you can’t spare the time, then they’re running the event online as well but online you’ll need to spend £60 to get the £10 of points.
An uber quick one for you guys, just spotted the amazing 50% off code for Very Exclusive for A Model Recommends readers (I can’t recommend (see what I did there?) that blog enough, I’m a huge fan!).
Would be incredibly rude of me to post that code on my own blog so please head on over to the AMR blog here to find the code as well as Ruth’s top picks for the sales (converse for £25?! Yes please!!).
By the by, Very Exclusive do designer clothes, shoes, accessories but also beauty, so if you’ve been eyeing some new skincare or need to restock, now’s the time!
Nothing beats a good deal/sale and somehow whenever it’s a Bank Holiday the stores all put out their best bargains, so if there’s anything you’ve been eyeing in particular or any purchases you’ve had on your wishlist, now’s the time to get them =)
I’ve rounded up the top Bank Holiday offers I’ve seen (there’s loads more out there, honestly I think almost every retailer has something going on even if it’s just free delivery or a 10% off), of course I always mention the caveat that you shouldn’t impulse buy even with a great offer on, only check things out if you’ve been eyeing them for awhile, other sales will lead to you losing out more than gaining!
Nope, did not expect to post twice today but I decided to visit the E.L.F. (EyesLipsFace) website on a whim, just thought I hadn’t heard much about deals/codes from them for awhile, and realise that there’s a 50% off plus FREE shopping code that’s active right now but only from 6pm till 9pm today, what an extremely tight window!!!
Definitely worth a quick visit, I recommend their uber-cheap brush cleaner and my ultimate favourite item from there is their SPF lipbalm, I bought the clear one during my last haul and used it all the way down (yep, all of it) the best lip-base and most moisturing lipbalm I’ve ever had, I don’t know why, it probably just worked really well for my lips? And I thought it was great that it had spf in it too! For those of you who just like experimenting with colours, I can’t see how anything bad can come of this 100 Piece eyeshadow palette for just £5.
Thank God It’s Friday!
And there’s also a lovely treat from FeelUnique today to really mark the kick-off to the weekend =) Some of you may already have been following this but basically Feel Unique (an online retailer of skincare, makeup, haircare, fragrance… well, beauty, basically) have launched FeelUnique Treats for the month of May, so they’ve been offering a new ‘treat’ (aka offer) every day for the whole month of may and each offer is only valid for a day. Today’s treat is particularly special – they’ve put 100 products on their site for just £1 each! Great bargain, though note that you can only buy 1 product per person (understandably, I guess).
If you’ve missed most of the Unique Treats this month, not to worry, to be honest I do feel the temptation of buying something just because it’s on offer sometimes outweighs the ‘savings’, unless there’s a particular product you’ve been itching to buy, in which case it’s worth following offers on the off-chance it pops up on discount.
