Good Morning Everyone!
Right, a truly fantastic freebie for you today, I’m quite excited about it but also in two minds about it. Because this freebie is one of those that you need to print out and bring down to a skincare counter (which I must admit I hardly ever do…) but on the other hand it’s a truly great freebie! It’s a free Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser 50ml, which would usually retail at £8.50 (£9.50 if they include the cloth, not sure if they will though?).
The freebie comes as Liz Earle is celebrating their famous Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser have won over 100 beauty awards, which even I (who can be sometimes cynical about over-hyped products) am quite impressed by. Also, it seems recently I’ve been hearing a lot about this cleanser? So my curiosity is very piqued…
For those who aren’t familiar with the concept, a hot cloth cleanser is one where you massage the product (usually quite creamy) directing onto your face without first wetting it or your face. You then use a cloth (usually provided, Liz Earle’s are pure muslin clothes) that’s been rinsed in warm water to wipe off the cleanser. The cloth apparently should be able to retain heat (hence ‘hot cloth’). Overall, what this does is makes you massage your face when working the cleanser in, the cleanser is also very kind and gentle to skin, finally the cloth works as a gentle exfoliation action.
The cleanser, despite being plant-based and very gentle, is strong enough to remove all make-up and the polish acting (which the cloth) makes it doubly certain you’re clean. All in all, sounds like a very comprehensive cleansing routine! Definitely one I’d save for the evening, mornings are very scrub-splash-go for me.
Anyway, reasons why this freebies is great: (a) iconic award-winning beauty product, (b) you get 50ml, not a dinky little sample, (c) you don’t need to print it off, you can just show the voucher on your phone!
By the way, there’s another way to get a good deal on the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. A 30ml sample version is included in the current May Birchbox which is a collaboration with Harper’s Bazaar is looking to be an amazing box (I read Sunday Girl’s review of it here and am seriously tempted!). There’s also a sample of the famous Benefit They’re Real mascara which I’ve been itching to try (but can’t justify the expense!). However, I feel like I could take or leave the other items in the box (although to be fair I’ve heard great things about the Phillip Kingsley, the Aromatherapy and also the Imedeen products).
If you do get it yourselves, you can get a £5 off code (read that Sunday Girl post I linked to for the code, I feel it’s unfair of me to just share it here without directing you to her fabulous blog!) so plus postage you’d pay £7.95 for the box. Let’s say it’s £8. I’m still contemplating (I probably won’t get it… haha… I have spending-lethargy, where I spend ages putting stuff in an online basket then stare at it and then don’t buy anything).
If you can drag yourself to a John Lewis by Wednesday the 28th of May then please do, that’s in 2 weeks’ time so plenty of time! Get your vouchers at the Liz Earle website here.
Have you tried any hot cloth cleansers before?
