Hello my darlings!
Middle of the week now and here’s a great skincare and makeup sample freebie from luxury brand Lancôme.
I wasn’t sure whether to label this as skincare or makeup because the sample in question is either for their Visionnaire Serum (this is skincare, very much so) or their Dreamtone Corrector which I can’t make head or tail of. You’ll understand my confusion in a bit but here’s how it looks:
Pretty, isn’t it?? Love the very futuristic looking pop-up pump that also hides away. Visionnaire’s not bad looking either.
If you’re unfamiliar with either product let’s start with Visionnaire because it’s easier to explain. The name doesn’t really tell you much but basically the product is a serum that you apply twice a day and with which ‘wrinkles appear visibly reduced, pores minimised and imperfections such as uneven skin tone appear corrected for a more even complexion’. Quite big claims, which is good because it also has a big price tag at £59.00 for a 30ml bottle.
Okay, so that’s sorted, so what’s Dreamtone about and why am I so confused?
Firstly, it’s labelled as a ‘corrector’, which I take to mean primer and to me primer is part of makeup since it’s primary objective is to instantly help to make your face look better and might or might not have any added skincare benefits. Right?
However, Dreamtone is being sold as a ‘skincare product’.
What it does doesn’t clear things up because apparently it ‘Corrects dark spots, uneven skin tone, visibly corrects colour irregularities (e.g. dullness & blemish marks) and brightens complexion’. If there was a serum that did all this o your skin, that would be amazing. If it was a primer that is basically correcting everything only awhile it’s on your skin, it’s also kinda amazing but not as amazing obviously!!!
So which is it?! Can’t figure it out. If any of you know, please tell me!
Back to the freebie, all you need to do is click here and fill out literally 3 questions, then you get emailed an voucher for a 5ml sample that you need to take to a Lancôme counter to redeem. You’ll need to choose between Visionnaire and Dreamtone and I’ll definitely be selecting Dreamtone because I just want to know what it is!! Haha.
Also, it doesn’t hurt that Dreamtone has won awards so it seems worth checking out.
Hope you enjoy your freebie!
Do you think Dreamtone is Skincare or Makeup??
