First off, has anyone heard of What’s in My Handbag? They’re a luxury beauty samples site that I joined a couple weeks back and I think they’re my favourite so far for many reasons. A review of beauty sample sites is in the pipeline so watch out for a post about that in the near future =)
Anyway, to cut to the chase, What’s in My Handbag (or WIMH) are currently giving out free samples (they call them ‘Try’s’ and rightly so) of the La Roche Posay Redermic R! All you need to do is pop along to their website, register for an account and then register for the Try itself. They typically have a couple of Try’s you can register for at any given time and right now besides the Redermic R they also have the Rococo Pro Glass Nail File.
I’m not too much of a nails person but the Redermic R really caught my eye so I registered a couple days ago and got notified just today that they’ll be sending me the Redermic R to try, hurrah! Unfortunately, I can’t find info on exactly what sized sample they’ll be sending but watch out for a review coming up soon =)
What’s exactly does this product do, you ask? (if you’re not asking then I’m asking it for you)
Well well, where to begin…
First off, it’s a retinol product. If you’ve not heard of retinol before, it’s basically a key ingredient that has been clinically proven to anti-age, smoothen complexions, light dark spots… basically, it’s like a beauty-miracle from God. If retinol was a person, we’d be calling it Saint Retinol and Catholics would be building a shrine for it to which beauty junkies and cosmetics companies worldwide would be making annual pilgrimages.
However, just because we’ve found a great ingredient doesn’t mean that’s that. Companies still need to figure out how to really harness its potential in the way they formulate their products (how much retinol to use? in combination with what other ingredients?). Retinol can also be very irritating to the skin, which doesn’t bode well for those with sensitive skin. And this is where the Redermic R comes in! It claims to be an all-new formula that won’t irritate sensitive skin while boosting an enriched retinol formula. Hmm, sounds good (hopefully not too good to be true).
Not to mention La Roche-Posay is one of the world’s leading dermatological skincare brands. But to be honest, titles like that don’t sway me, I judge by reviews and samples.
Well, if you’d like to try it for yourself head along to the WIMH website now and don’t forget to let me know how it goes!
And if you do try it and like it, WIMH also has this nifty little discount code that’ll get you the full sized Redermic R for 25% off, well that’s nice of them! Offer’s only valid at Boots so just click here to buy and enter the code VRR1AZ. Just for your reference, the product’s full name is the La Roche-Posay Redermic R Dermatological Anti-Wrinkle Treatment (what a mouth-full!) but I’ve also seen it shortened to just La Roche-Posay Redermic R Cream.
Much Retinol-ly Love,
Will you be registering for the Redermic R Try?
